Boogeyman, Marvels, Mother & More
An iconic monster terrorizes two sisters, Captain Marvel returns with some new teammates, and J-Lo fights dangerous attackers.
Hello, readers! Welcome back for this week’s Trailer Tuesday. This week is another healthy sized serving of eight trailers, with a few big films set for release later this year, as well as a couple interesting smaller films.
First up, the legendary Boogeyman haunts a family still reeling from a family tragedy in this summer’s The Boogeyman. In Book Club: The Next Chapter, Academy Award winners Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Mary Steenburgen and Academy Award nominee Candice Bergen reunite their book club for a cross-country adventure in Italy. A down-on-his-luck publicist catches a break after finding a mute mental health patient who looks exactly like a stubborn method actor who refuses to leave his trailer in Fool’s Paradise. Something wicked this way comes for the merchant ship Demeter as the crew finds themselves stalked by the infamous monster Count Dracula in The Last Voyage of the Demeter. Academy Award winner Brie Larson returns as Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, and teams up with two new members in Marvel’s next MCU entry, The Marvels. Jennifer Lopez is an ex-assassin who comes out of hiding to protect her estranged daughter against violent assailants in The Mother. A group of friends get more than they bargained for after discovering a way of conjuring spirits in Talk to Me. And lastly, in White Bird: A Wonder Story, a young boy is visited by his Jewish grandmother from Paris, played by Academy Award winner Helen Mirren, who tells him stories of her childhood in Nazi-occupied France during World War II.
