Despicable Me, Ghostbusters, Road House & More

Gru returns, Ghostbusters return and Dalton returns to the roadhouse with a whole new look.

Good morning, readers! Welcome back to this week’s edition of Trailer Tuesday. This week’s trailer offering is a mighty big one with eleven brand new trailers showcasing everything from indie horrors and character-driven dramas to blockbuster sequels and cult classic remakes.

First up, a woman grieving the death of her fiance finds her life taking an even deadlier turn for the worse when her phone starts displaying disturbing images about her future in Cellphone. Gru and his band of lovably wacky Minions return for more animated mayhem in Despicable Me 4. “Who you gonna call?” The OG Ghostbusters re-team back up with the new generation to fight an ancient spirit bent on unleashing a second Ice Age in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. Sydney Sweeney plays a devout American nun who’s new, idyllic life in Italy quickly deteriorates into a nightmare of horrifying secrets and unspeakable horrors in Immaculate. Academy Award nominee Dev Patel is an underground fight club fighter who ignites an explosive campaign of vengeance against those who have wronged him and his family in Monkey Man. Academy Award winner Anthony Hopkins brings to life the true story of Sir Nicholas Winton, the man responsible for rescuing hundreds of Jewish children during the Holocaust, in One Life. Zac Efron and his friends hire a washed-up actor to become the imaginary friend they’ve used to excuse their past misbehaviors when their partners start to become suspicious in Ricky Stanicky. Academy Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal takes on the ass-kicking, names-taking role of roadhouse cooler Dalton, first embodied by the late, iconic Patrick Swayze, in the updated remake of Road House. Academy Award winner Russell Crowe plays a retired detective forced to reopen an old case, all while struggling through his Alzheimer’s treatment in Sleeping Dogs. A woman dives deep into her art as a means of therapy for her own personal demons, only to find her art literally taking on a very unsettling life of its own in Stopmotion. And lastly, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and her terminally ill daughter find themselves taken by a mysterious macaw on an emotional journey about life, love and ultimately death in Tuesday.
